Church Council 2008• Presidentshall preside at all business meetings of the Voters' Assembly. It shall be his duty to encourage the proper functioning of all officers and committees and the preparation of full reports of their activities prior to each regular business meeting. He shall be the chief executive officer of the Congregation and shall be ex-officio member of all committees and boards, except the Board of Elders. The President shall make appointments, with Council approval, to fill vacancies and make up special committees, except those pertaining to Article X of the Constitution. • Vice-President shall perform the duties of the President in the absence of the President. He shall be the Chairman of the Church Council. • Recording Secretary shall keep a record of all the proceedings at the business meetings of the Voters' Assembly and the Church Council, conduct all official correspondence of the Congregation, keep an accurate list of all voting members and their attendance at business meetings. The Secretary shall keep a copy of the Constitution, Bylaws and Standing Rules current by properly inserting amendments and additions, as accepted by the Voters' Assembly and subsequently approved by the Texas District. The Secretary shall currently furnish the Pastor and President with a copy of the minutes of regular and special meetings. • Treasurer shall make disbursements as authorized by the Voters' Assembly. The Treasurer shall keep an accurate and permanent record of all receipts and disbursements and provide the Church Council and Voters' Assembly with a financial report at ever regular meeting. All receipts for non-Congregational purposes shall be remitted monthly. • Financial Secretary shall receive all monies and keep a complete and permanent record of individual contributions to the Congregation. The Financial Secretary shall be responsible for preparing and issuing quarterly financial statements to the members showing their gifts and offerings to date. • Sunday School Super shall supervise all the activities of the Sunday School. The Sunday School Assistant shall help in the supervision and administration of the Sunday School Program as directed by the Superintendent. • Board of Education • Board of Elders • Board of Evangelism • Board of Missions • Board of Stewardship • Board of Trustees It shall be the duty of the Church Council to coordinate the activities of the church. The Church Council shall prepare the agenda for each regular business meeting. It shall act on all matters referred to it by the Congregation. It may call upon any board or committee for a report at any time. The Church Council shall meet prior to any regular business meeting. Special meetings of the Church Council may be called by any church officer. Auditing Committee shall report to the March meeting of the Voter's Assembly. It shall be their duty to annually audit the books of the Treasurer and Financial Secretary and review the audits of the other organizations within the Congregation. the Voters' Assembly may request a audit at any time. A Audit shall be conducted within (2) two months of any change in Treasurer or Financial Secretary. The President shall appoint this committee in January and it shall have a term of office of (1) year. Nominating Committee |
